E-Lock products are owned by Frontier Technologies, a privately owned corporation headquartered in McLean, VA. Frontier Technologies entered the PKI and Security market in 1997 by launching the E-Lock range of digital signature products.
Over the years, E-Lock developed several PKI based applications that enabled digital signatures for common business applications as well as for web-based transactions. The digital signature solutions developed by E-Lock have been used by former US President Bill Clinton to digitally sign the US E-Sign Act that legalizes digital signatures, and by Bulgarian President Petar Stoyanov to electronically sign the Bulgarian Electronic Document and Signature Act.
